Teaching Assistants Two positions available a)1:1 supporting a named child in EYFS b)1:1 supporting a named child in KS2 For both roles, hours are to be confirmed. Position A: With the support of the SENCO and class teacher, your role will be to assist in promoting the learning and personal development of the pupil to whom you are assigned, to enable them to make best use of the educational opportunities available to them and assist fulfilling their potential. Recent experience working as a 1:1 support assistant or teaching assistant, particularly the planning and delivery of individual intervention programmes and tailored support approaches, is essential. The role requires experience of supporting complex difficulties. Experience of supporting social communication and sensory difficulties/ SLCN and training regarding this (or a willingness to be trained) is essential for this role. A knowledge of the Early Years curriculum outcomes would be desirable. This role requires a willingness to support needs via: Supporting with learning opportunities Facilitating bespoke interventions/ SALT support strategies/ emotional and well- being support strategies Assisting in observations and assessments of learning skills Contributing in professionals and EHC Annual Review meetings Working with a range of outside agencies and professionals to support needs Supporting needs at lunchtimes Supporting needs at playtimes and outdoor play sessions Supporting personal care needs

Position B: With the support of the SENCO and class teacher, your role will be to assist in promoting the learning and personal development of the pupil to whom you are assigned, to enable them to make best use of the educational opportunities available to them and assist fulfilling their potential. Recent experience working as a 1:1 support assistant or teaching assistant, particularly the planning and delivery of individual intervention programmes, is essential. The role requires experience of supporting complex difficulties and relates to all four areas of SEN needs. Experience of supporting complex SEMH needs and training regarding this (or a willingness to be trained) is essential for this role. Experience of working within a Nurture Group would be desirable. The role requires a willingness to support needs via: Post/pre teaching 1:1 and supporting learning opportunities Facilitating bespoke interventions Assisting in observations and assessments of learning skills Contributing in professionals and EHC Annual Review meetings Working with a range of outside agencies and professionals to support needs Supporting needs at lunchtimes For further information and to download an application form please go to our school website.
